The graph function of DataChain is accessible from the HandleData module. handleData-color

The number of graphics that can be created is not limited.

This function makes it possible to present data sources in the form of a graph of type. Several types of graphs are available.

Like the other components, the Sankey can be integrated into Tableaux de Bords.

A Sankey diagram is a type of flow diagram in which the width of the arrows is proportional to the flow represented. Sankey diagrams are used in particular to visualize process energy flows.

The creation of a Sankey chart (like all operations on presentations) is performed from the HandleData module. Logo HandleData

Step 1
  • Access HandleData module Logo HandleData

  • 1 Choose, in the left menu HandleData, the option Graphic associated with the icon. chart-line

  • 2 Click on the button New

  • A screen allows you to choose the type of graph you want. To create a Sankey type graphic, choose the icon sankey.svg

  • Each graph has a metadata panel. Entering a label is required.

Optional input areas allow for more description. An icon can thus be assigned to the metadata of a chart.

  • information It is advisable to save the metadata as soon as you enter it. Use the button Save button located in the right part of the top banner of the screen.

  • A data source is required to create a chart. Use the btn-ajouter-source.svg[add a source] icon to access the list of available sources (cf DataBlocks documentation).

  • information Proposed sources are related to current user’s rights

  • information It is possible to integrate, on the fly, a file with a separator. To do this, use the Rapid Integration function via the icon Rapid integration icon located in the top banner of the HandleData application.

1 Sources are powered by DataBlocks. It is possible, at the level of each source, to carry out operations making it possible to adapt, for a presentation, the blocks of original data by clicking on the icon Icone edit

2 Displays a succession of operations such as generation of formulas, filters, aggregations, sorting and modification of labels and types are available.

The list of available sources is presented in the form of a table. In the proposed list, choose one (or more) sources then double-click on the line or use the button Validate to assign the source to the graphic.

1 Refreshes the list of available sources

2 Validates source assignment. It is necessary, before this operation, to choose a source by selecting a line in the table of sources.

3 Return to the list of sources assigned to the graphic.

Warning Unlike TimeLines or Maps, only one source can be affected

Step 4 Bis (optional)
  • If necessary, the user can make changes to the chosen sources:

    • Added formulas creating new values

    • Generation of filters

    • Sorts

    • Aggregations

  • To do this, select one of the sources assigned to the current graph. Use the edit icon located at the end of the line (or click on the source label). Make the necessary changes. Save the changes using the Validate button then the Back button icon to return to the list of sources for the current graph.

  • Caption and titles

    • Title: Chart title

      • Font: Font used for the chart title

      • Color: Chart title color

      • Size: Chart title font size

    • Subtitle: Chart subtitle

      • Font: Character font used for the graph subtitle

      • Color: Chart subtitle color

      • Size: Chart subtitle font size

    • Palette: Color palette associated with the chart

    • Export: Indicates whether the panel used to export the graph is active or inactive
      Possible exports are PNG, JPEG, PDF, SVG and print module

Sankey settings

  • Source: Choice of the column from the data source containing the values ​​defining the source of the flow

  • Value: Choice of the column from the data source containing the values ​​defining the volume of the flow

  • Target: Choice of the column from the data source containing the values ​​defining the target of the flow.

  • Color mode Option to define the distribution of color between the source and the target of the stream ::

    • None: No color. The stream between source and target will be gray in color

    • Source: The color of the feed will be the color of the Source

    • Target: The flow color will be the color of the Target

    • Gradient: The flow color will be a gradient between source color and target color

  • Alignment Allows you to define the positioning of the Source and Target zones

  • Label Option to define whether source and target labels are visible or invisible

  • Color If the option is set to YES, it is possible to impose a color on the source and target labels. If the option is set to NO, the color of the labels is determined automatically

  • Node - Width Allows to define the width of the nodes between streams

  • Node - Spacing Allows to define the spacing between each node

  • Opacity Sets the opacity of the flow

  • Select line

  • Click on the graph label or on the edit icon at the end of the line

Deleting a chart

  • At the level of the list of graphics, search for the graphic to be deleted. it is possible to use the search and sort functions present at the level of each column.

  • Select line

    • Option 1: Use the button icon suppression at the end of the line and confirm the action.

    • Option 2:

      • Click on the graphic label or on the edit icon at the end of the line.

      • Once in edition ofgraphic, click on the Delete button and confirm the action
