Dashboard
General
The DataChain Dashboard function is accessible from the HandleData presentation module .
The number of DataChain Dashboard is not limited.
This function makes it possible to create Dashboards by bringing together n graphic presentations from the HandleData module like
It is also possible to add at the level of a dashboard, a text editor
The Dashboard function also makes it possible to define centering zones in order to filter the display of all or part of the components integrated into the Dashboard.
Creating a Dashboard

-
Click on the icon
of one of the proposed zones to open the popup for setting the centering zone
The configuration of the centering zones is carried out in two stages.
Definition of the centering zone
Example of setting a centering of the Date type
Example of setting a centering of the Character type
-
Zone label: Title of the centering zone
-
Color: The color is automatically assigned by DataChain. This color patch serves as a marker and allows, for each component positioned in the Dashboard, to know the link with the centering zones
-
Type: Specifies the type of the centering zone. 3 possibilities: Date, Character string and Numeric
Different parameters are available depending on the type and operator chosen
Mapping can only be done on data of the same type
-
I.C.: Option of case behavior during synchronization for Character types Example if the option is not checked then the search will be done respecting the case.
-
Operator: Specifies the operator that will be applied during the synchronization on all the mappings affected by this centering zone.
Note that the proposed operators are consistent with the type of centering zone.
-
-
Free This option makes the list of possible operators available when displayed in View mode. The user can then assign another operator
-
Autocompletion: Enables or Disables autocompletion for the centering area
Two autocompletion modes are available
-
Simple: The Simple auto-completion is generated by calculating the distinct values on all the data mapped on this centering area.
Depending on the volume of data, this auto-completion mode may cause some latency.
Note that in View mode, auto-completion is triggered after entering the third character.
-
Repository: The Repository auto-completion makes it possible to refer to ONE SINGLE data source of one of the components integrated into the Dashboard.
-
-
Possible values: Enables the value proposal option instead of auto-completion
The input zone is used to enter the values proposed if the option is activated.
Once the settings have been made, click on to save the centering zone settings and return to the Dashboard settings page.
To cancel and return without saving, click on .
Source column mapping for each component concerned by centering.
Allows mapping of a centering zone with the sources of all or part of the components integrated into the Dashboard.
For each HandleData presentation integrated in a dashboard, it is possible to define n mapping with the centering zones defined in the centering panel. For a presentation, the number of mappings to the centering zones is free.
A presentation can have from 0 to n mapping to a centering area. n being equal to the maximum number of zones configured in the centering panel.
To perform a mapping between a centering zone and a HandleData presentation, the following steps must be performed:
-
Assign one or more centering zones to the component using the
icon. For each centering zone assigned to the component, the corresponding color patch is displayed and allows you to configure the centering
-
Click on each affected color chip to perform the mapping and assign for each source of the component the columns concerned by the Mapping
-
There are two methods to define the mapping between a centering area and a HandleData presentation:
-
Centering on columns present at the origin of the source, i.e. before the processing and operations that can be performed in each source tab of the presentations
-
Centering on the columns present after the processing and operations that can be performed in each source tab of the presentations
-
-
Specify for each desired source the column concerned
The configuration of the mapping finished, click on the button to close the window.
The action of Validate controls the mapping settings for a presentation but does not save the dashboard settings.
