Quick Integration* allows you to integrate a file with a separator into DataChain without using a Connector.
Quick Integration* allows you to integrate a file with a separator into DataChain without having to go through a Connector and a Repository.
In summary
Integration speed depends on the performance of your network and/or Internet bandwidth, and the size of your file. |
Select a file
-
Click on the icon
in the top menu to integrate a file into DataChain.
Select the file or add it using Drag & Drop.
Modify the file’s playback parameters if required.
Define the repository metadata.
If you do not specify a label, the file name will automatically be used as the label for all the elements created, if any.
Click to reset the parameters and delete the Quick Integration file.
Click to integrate the file once the checks have been completed.
It is possible to modify the parameters, metadata and column types and labels later on in the Business Entity generated during integration. |
Configure reading parameters
Use the data preview to check that the reading parameters are correct.
There are several important points to check:
-
Interpretation of the columns according to the separator defined in the parameters.
-
Column labels where applicable
Configure columns and types
DataChain deduces the column types automatically, but it is recommended that you check and adapt the types +.
Dates in ISO 8601 format are automatically detected in date format when configuring a Repository or rapid integration.
For other date formats, you must select the "Timestamp" type and, if necessary, specify the read mask (input format) if it is different from ISO 8601.
Delete the ISO 86 01 mask to display the list of the most common masks or specify the read mask.
Find out more about reading masks and dates.
Create the value string
Once all the parameters have been correctly defined, you can integrate the file into the DataChain environment.
The integration time varies according to the performance of your network and/or your Internet bandwidth, and the volume of the file.
Integrating a file using rapid integration automatically creates a Repository based on a local connector, a Business Entity and a DataBlock if the option is selected.
