Publishing Dashboards
General - Publication of Dashboards
The Dashboard Publication function of DataChain is accessible from the HandleData presentation module. The Publication function is offered as an edition of a Dashboard .
The number of Publication of a DataChain Dashboard is not limited.
The publication allows to expose from a Dashboard with the parametrized centering zones and their interactivity towards

users referenced in the DataChain instance
-
users not referenced in the DataChain instance. In this case, an email address will be required to make the dashboard publication available.
When the Dashboard is published or updated, an email is sent to all recipients. A system of email templates, managed from the Project settings, lets you configure the title and body of the message sent. Dynamic variables can be integrated to automate the sending of emails. Only project managers can configure email templates. |
When editing a dashboard, the Publications tab provides access to the configuration screen of the current dashboard

Creating a Dashboard post
To publish a dashboard, click on
Title: Indicate information representing the title of the publication (obligatoire). By default the title is that of the current DataBlock
With header: Indicate whether the title is present (or absent) from the publication
This option can be interesting when integrating a publication into a web page (eframe for example)
Expiry date

None The publication is available without limit. Manual action by an authorized user will be required to disable publication

Expires on Indicates the expiry date of the publication. On this date, the publication will no longer be accessible.

If it has been consulted at least once, the publication will be kept
Choice of type of sharing

Generate a public link: When creating or publishing, a single link is generated for all recipients

Share with DataChain users: This option lets you choose users referenced in the current DataChain instance by the login. The email address used will be the one configured in the user account

Unique link: The link sent to users is the same for everyone (a single access token).

It is possible to trace the consultations but not the users (the email addresses) who consulted the publication

Send to: Click on
to add recipients in the email address entry fields
Click on the cross to delete the address

Users: select the user(s) in the list or use the search box to filter

To validate and finish, click on the button
To canceler the publication and return to the previous screen, click on the button
Dashboard Post Tracking
Once the publication is made, it appears in the table of Active Publications

Opens a new tab to view the post

Performs post update. Takes into account changes in dashboard settings and new data to date.

Remove post. Two situations are possible

The post has never been viewed: it is permanently deleted

The publication has been consulted at least once: it is archived and visible in the table Inactive publications

Access to the follow-up screen of the consultations of the publication

It is possible to edit an inactive publication, including changing its expiration date

Delete Dashboard Post
To delete Publications, access the Dashboard in edition then use the "Publications" tab.+ Click on the cross located at the end of the line of the Publication to be deleted.
Several cases are possible:

The Publication is active but has never been viewed In this case, following the deletion confirmation, the deletion is final and immediate.

The Publication is active and has already been viewed In this case, following confirmation, the Publication changes status and becomes an Archived Publication
