General - User Groups
User groups allow you to organize users into groups.
A user can belong to several groups.
Each group has a global permissions template Permissions Management which will be applied to all users in the group. If a user belongs to several groups then the permission YES (right to the function) is applied.
The same reasoning applies if, at the user account level, a global permission is assigned to the user.
Example: given a user user_1 who belongs to two groups Groupe1 and Groupe2. If Group1 prohibitedt the creation of Repositories, but Group2 authorizes the creation of Repositories, then user_1 will be able to create Repositories because he obtains this authorization by his membership of *Group2*
Creation of User Group
A user group is created from GenericsData menu + User Groups
Users with Administrator rights are the only ones who can manage User groups. |
From the list of user groups, click on button
